The type of raw material (sesame seed) that is hulled is popularly known as the "Humera" type, which is the "t-85 variety". This sesame is very popular due to the following characteristics:

• predominantly white and comparatively large uniform seeds,
• sweet, nutty taste and
• sweet aroma.
